To select a hot key for editing, use the pop-up menu in the Hot Keys panel of the Preferences window.
Use hot key below
File Buddy’s hot keys can be turned on and off individually. To activate a hot key, check this box.
When a hot key is active
Limiting a hot key’s scope to the Finder does not make its key combination available to other applications. When this option is on, File Buddy will simply ignore the keystroke if the Finder is not the active application.
Setting a hot key
To set the key combination used to invoke a hot key, simply press the combination of keys you wish to use at any time. A hot key combination must have at least one modifier key (Command, Option, Control, or Shift), and should not conflict with any key combination in use by the system or any application, either as a menu shortcut or a hot key.
It is strongly recommended that you include the Command and/or Control keys in your hot key combinations.
